Since opening in Sept. 2008, the Raleigh Convention Center has been a remarkable resource for groups from 5 to 100,000. The dedicated staff is here to make sure each visitor’s needs—whether as an attendee, planner or exhibitor—are met.

The Raleigh Convention Center is a bustling hub for the culture, commerce and technologies that make the area one of the most admired and sought-after places in the United States. The modern, 500,000-square-foot facility includes a soaring street-level lobby, an elegant ballroom and a massive exhibit hall as well as reliable, upgraded tech amenities and award-winning culinary delights.

You’ll be welcomed into a grand lobby of dazzling floor-to-ceiling windows. Open and airy, the 4,100-square-foot, street-level mezzanine overlooks the exhibit hall and provides easy access to all other areas of the center and the attached Raleigh Marriott City Center. Granite details, stunning artwork, casual seating and a gracious reception area create the ideal spot to mix and mingle before or after events. All capacities listed are maximum room set without staging and with no or minimal AV equipment.

The convention center is home to the iconic Cree Shimmer Wall, sister venue to the Red Hat Amphitheater (across the street!) and Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts, plus just steps from downtown Raleigh restaurants and hot spots. The center has earned "Most Creative Place to Host a Meeting" and numerous Readers' Choice Awards from ConventionSouth magazine, as well as the Centers of Excellence Award from EXHIBITOR Magazine for three consecutive years (2019, 2020, 2021), and a City of Raleigh Climate Impact Award in Waste and Energy Consumption. The center is also NC Green Travel-certified.

The Raleigh Convention Center is accredited by GBAC STAR™, the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation for facilities.
