Pleasant Park, a 92-acre park with an extensive array of amenities, recently opened in Apex, N.C.

Sports groups will delight in the park's offerings, including six multipurpose fields—perfect for soccer, lacrosse and other field sports—six pickleball courts, four tennis courts and four basketball courts. The field house, equipped with staff offices, meeting space, a concession area and restrooms, ensures convenience and comfort for players and spectators alike.

Yet, Pleasant Park's allure extends beyond traditional sports group amenities. The park features a magical 1.5-acre playground (accurately named Enchanted Forest) with impressive climbing structures and a giant, 35-foot-tall slide. The Enchanted Forest captivates visitors with various inclusive play villages, including the whimsical "Kingdom in the Clouds" and the nature-inspired "Sticks and Stones" area. With each village offering unique play experiences, the Enchanted Forest promises hours of imaginative fun for children and families.

The park's two shelters, complete with restrooms, provide ideal spaces for picnics, gatherings and celebrations amidst the beauty of nature. Meanwhile, the maintenance operations building ensures the park remains pristine and well-maintained year-round.

Note: Beginning Fri., March 1, 2024, the unlit basketball and pickleball courts at Pleasant Park will open at sunrise and close approximately 30 minutes after sunset. Pleasant Park main gates will continue to remain open from 6:30am-10pm, year round.

Excitement abounds as Pleasant Park looks toward the future, with plans for additional amenities in the pipeline. A future phase of construction will introduce four baseball/softball fields, a grand lawn for open play and a sand volleyball court, further enhancing the park's recreational offerings. Expanded cross-country courses and batting cages will provide opportunities for athletic training and competition, while improved road access will enhance accessibility for visitors.
